Haarlem Campus is a recently started higher education institute, set up by the German-based SRH Higher Education and the Dutch Global School of Entrepreneurship. Haarlem Campus operates in the Dome in Haarlem where it seeks to develop into an innovation hub where culture, education, and business find each other to work together, organize events, and collaborate on innovation and development. 

 

Haarlem Campus starts in October 2022 with the first cohort of students in bachelor programs in Business Psychology, Media & Business, and Digital transformation management. In 2023 this is followed by the post-HBO study programs Applied Sustainable Management and Digital Transformation Leadership.
 

We are looking to expand our Faculty team with experienced professionals interested to join us in developing high-quality, interactive, and personalized higher education programs based on our Competence Oriented Research and Education (CORE) approach. The position can be based on a freelance contract for individual teaching modules or a part-time teaching contract.

Vacancies

Currently we have vacancies for:

Senior Lecturer

in the fields of project management, mathematics, statistics, operations and information management, business informatics, software engineering, data science, artificial intelligence. 

FTE: 0,2 FTE / 0,3 FTE (8-12 hours per week) | per 5-week module

Summary: The Senior Lecturer designs, develops, and delivers interactive and competence-based teaching materials and learning processes and methods for selected study program modules within the context and regulations set out in the accredited program documentation and the code of conduct.

Key functions

  • Understand and lecture on the basis of the Competence Oriented Research and Education approach;
  • Co-create with the learning coach the class planning, learning methods, evaluation criteria, assignments and exams on the basis of the learning objectives and assessment forms described in the study program syllabus Validate and align study materials and methods with the Program Director;
  • Upload study materials and assignments in the digital learning environment;
  • Lecture, involve, assign study assignments and provide feedback to students in blended  face-to-face and digital class environment;
  • Keep up to date the documentation on teaching and learning activities;
  • Evaluate and upload student evaluations and grades on the basis of pre-established criteria;
  • Comply with current academic regulations and also integrate examining boards, when appropriate and their participation is required;
  • Ensure compliance with the academic and administrative regulations of the institution;
  • Participate in institutional policy meetings;
  • Adscribe to the Code of Conduct and apply standards of probity, dignity, honesty, seriousness and human solidarity and  contribute with his conduct and with his example to increase the values: democratic, moral, ethical, scientific and cultural of the institution.

 

Requirements

  • A Doctorate at level 8 of the European Qualification Framework
  • At least 7 years of experience as a lecturer in higher education in the field of study or equivalent programs 
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in the sector of study
  • Willing to teach on the basis of the CORE approach and willing to be trained in competence based training
  • In possession of a BKO (Basiskwalificatie Onderwijs) or BKE (Basiskwalificatie Examinering) or equivalent qualification or willing to obtain one of these qualifications 
  • Proven proficiency in English 
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Excellent intercultural skills

Learning Coaches

For our educational programs: Business Psychology, Media & Business, Digital Transformation Management.

Summary: The Learning Coach provides support, motivation, and guidance in group dynamics, team building and the individual learning and professional development and longer-term wellbeing of students during their study program within the context and regulations set out in the accredited program documentation and the code of conduct.

Key functions 

  • Understand and facilitate the learning process on the basis of the Competence Oriented Research and Education approach;
  • Co-create with the professor, lecturer or field expert the class planning, learning methods, evaluation criteria, assignments and exams on the basis of the learning objectives and assessment forms described in the study program syllabus;
  • Upload assignments in the digital learning environment;
  • Co-facilitate classes with Professors, lecturers or field experts;
  • Mentoring the group dynamics, processes and assignments during a module in a blended face-to-face and digital class environment;
  • Coaching of individual students in their overall learning process and professional development
  • Counselling to individual in support of the overall well being during the study program;
  • Keep up to date the documentation on teaching and learning activities;
  • Evaluate and upload student evaluations and grades on the basis of pre-established criteria;
  • Comply with current academic regulations and also integrate examining boards, when appropriate and their participation is required;
  • Inform in writing and within 24 hours, to the respective Program Director irregularities by students;
